History

The inception of Cheops Court No. 182 dates back to the 19th of August 1980, established under the leadership of the Imperial Court, helmed by Imperial Commandress Annie M. Bolden, Imperial Treasure Mary H. Pamplin, Deputy Imperial Commandress Dorthy Jenkins Scott, Imperial 1st Lieutenant Commandress Idee W. Dodson, and Imperial 2nd Lieutenant Commandress Katie E. Rosemon. This court, situated in the Oasis of Austin within the Desert of Texas, holds allegiance to the Imperial Council—Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine of North and South America and Jurisdiction, Inc., and the Imperial Court Daughters of the same jurisdiction.

Over the years, it has seen several Illustrious Commandresses, including Nancy Ashe, Gerlena Glover, Virigina Johnson, Mary Suals, Gladys Smith, Adrienne Pinchback, Amanda McCoy, Lottie M. Carter, Barbie Butler-Johnson, Tracy Nelson, Arika Morris, Aretha Mclain, Dorothy Gray, and Gabrielle Whitworth, with the current sitting being Illustrious Commandress Antonia I. Carr.

Dedicated to community service, Cheops Court No. 182 actively engages in initiatives such as quarterly clean-up drives on its adopted street and organizes recreational activities for the youth, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie within the community.
